X'mas week!
- Church had x'mas services on the weekend before x'mas and I helped to be an usher for all the services. Being an usher is more than just welcoming people in, it's really challenging too. And I got to know more people through these x'mas events.
But then, I ushered coz I ushered in the past, and I dun really find this my calling. Hmmm.
- Can u believe it... I continued to lose in MJ. Itchy hands! I surely hope 2009 will be a better year for my MJ. Still, great to meet up with my army buddies again.
- And I cooked rice and fried bee hoon for a potluck gathering. Ok my mum helped... haha. But I guess I more or less got the hang of it. It can be quite an enjoyment to cook!
- Went with V to Orchard road on x'mas day. They closed a stretch of orchard road and displayed some floats. Orchard road that day was flooded with fili maids, machiam another lucky plaze.
- Clearing my x'mas leave and new year leave, its time to plan my CNY leave. More to clear. Haha!

amazed at the world around me, amazed at the people beside me, amazed at the little things surrounding me.

Office X'mas deco
Our company had a x'mas tree decoration competition and 2 of my new colleagues were arrowed to take part in it. And another new colleague, also from my department, was also arrowed to decorate our level.
So, my neighbour and I were also roped in to help...
We decided on a theme from "From Rags to Riches" and that we would make the ornaments on the tree ourselves. Originally, we even thought of self-making the tree but that proves to be too troublesome.
The deadline was last Friday... and we procrastinated. Ha! Stayed until almost 11 on thurs night to finish it (and 1/3 of the entire level).
This is the x'mas that was finally finished last thursday! All the ornaments on the tree are self-made, including the star on top! All the snow there, are actually the leftovers from the hole-punchers!
Now, a closer look at the star...
The "X" was represented by the star, glittery and shimmery!
And, the team that put the tree together!
++++++
One of my colleagues overheard in the lift, Tax Mgr A telling Tax Mgr B that the TAX tree sure lose to another tree by another department, coz that tree was more shiny and looks more glam (apparently?).
Well if Mgr A really bothers to open his eyes and look at the tree, he would have seen that our tree is made with heart and love.
++++++
Still got 2/3s of our level left undecorated... sigh.
