X'mas week!

X'mas week!

- Church had x'mas services on the weekend before x'mas and I helped to be an usher for all the services. Being an usher is more than just welcoming people in, it's really challenging too. And I got to know more people through these x'mas events.

But then, I ushered coz I ushered in the past, and I dun really find this my calling. Hmmm.

- Can u believe it... I continued to lose in MJ. Itchy hands! I surely hope 2009 will be a better year for my MJ. Still, great to meet up with my army buddies again.

- And I cooked rice and fried bee hoon for a potluck gathering. Ok my mum helped... haha. But I guess I more or less got the hang of it. It can be quite an enjoyment to cook!

- Went with V to Orchard road on x'mas day. They closed a stretch of orchard road and displayed some floats. Orchard road that day was flooded with fili maids, machiam another lucky plaze.

- Clearing my x'mas leave and new year leave, its time to plan my CNY leave. More to clear. Haha!

for photos, please go to facebook. ^^

Office X'mas deco

Our company had a x'mas tree decoration competition and 2 of my new colleagues were arrowed to take part in it. And another new colleague, also from my department, was also arrowed to decorate our level.

So, my neighbour and I were also roped in to help...

We decided on a theme from "From Rags to Riches" and that we would make the ornaments on the tree ourselves. Originally, we even thought of self-making the tree but that proves to be too troublesome.

The deadline was last Friday... and we procrastinated. Ha! Stayed until almost 11 on thurs night to finish it (and 1/3 of the entire level).

This is the x'mas that was finally finished last thursday! All the ornaments on the tree are self-made, including the star on top! All the snow there, are actually the leftovers from the hole-punchers!

Now, a closer look at the star...

The "X" was represented by the star, glittery and shimmery!

And, the team that put the tree together!

++++++
One of my colleagues overheard in the lift, Tax Mgr A telling Tax Mgr B that the TAX tree sure lose to another tree by another department, coz that tree was more shiny and looks more glam (apparently?).

Well if Mgr A really bothers to open his eyes and look at the tree, he would have seen that our tree is made with heart and love.

++++++

Still got 2/3s of our level left undecorated... sigh.

losing with the market

2008 is ending, and i should be glad it's ending!

1. I lost a few 100s bucks in the gym locker.

2. I can't recall winning any MJ or card games this year. Maybe 1?? I have already reduced my MJ frequency, but i should have also lost 200 or so... or more...

3. Hmmm i have my gym clothes in the gym recently. 1 adidas top n adidas pants.........

4. Lost my mp3 player in office. I think i left it on my desk while i went for lunch and it went missing after my lunch. .............

5. My credit instalment planS..........

6. The market now... need not say more...................

Well, the point of this post is, i shall abstain from any forms of gambling, until the cow year comes. Well, i should have done so long ago right, but who can resist the MJ tiles...

a*mei concert

A*Mei rulezzzz!!

Her concert @ the indoor stadium on 4th Oct was a blast! She was saying that we, the audience, were shouting and screaming all the time, not tired meh? But she herself was so energetic throughout the concert, how can we not be high??

Some memorable ones...

1. When she sang “后知后觉” in memory of Zhang Yu Sheng, i personally felt that she put her emotions most in this song.

2. She had some chicken rice and tow-geh before her performance... she was asking how to pronounce tow-geh and she had a whole plate of it to herself! Mel asked "Taiwan dun have beansprouts meh??"

3. She had the audience high with her fast songs, especially “3天3夜” at the end! How come people can sit down throughout her fast songs one?? "Bad Boy", “姐妹”, “牵手”, its time to dance!!

4. She sang Alicia Key's "If i ain't got you" and some Jap song, which were a Singapore special! Oh and an impromptu chorus of Stefanie's "Tee Oh Oh"!

5. She involved many SG in her concert e.g. kewei and lin qi yu as her backup vocals!

3. “维多利亚的秘密” had the intro with 4 hunky strippers stripping!! Haha! And they had this naughty "bed scene". Oh she was facing our side =PPPPPPP

I like where I was sitting, coz she faced our side quite often. Too bad we couldn't see her face clearly (2nd most exp liao)...

Me and mel, high and shagged after the concert! Erm maybe not that shagged since we still went somewhere to play after that... ^^

Dav had a little grouse though, coz he was waiting for "牵手", but the song that was performed was a less rock version.

Wil and Dav's frd also went for the concert! From what I saw, they should be having fun too!

Eh no, I didn't take any photos of the concert itself... It's in my memories!

hari raya!

I love public holidays! I get to sleep in, catch my TAR, ANTM and Survivor on youtube and go to the gym for a while. (oh btw, Selamat Hari Raya and Happy Children's Day!)

Speaking of gym, I see Mr Julxxx Hxx quite frequently in the gym lately. He's really quite tall and hunky. U know gyms have those TVs playing Ch 5, 8 and U, so I was wondering what if Julian happens to be working on one of those machines facing the TVs, and the TV just happens to be showing a show with him himself in it?

How would he feel? "Arrgh!! "? Or "I look so good!"? Or "My acting.... *sigh*" (oops...)

If it were me, I think I would be quite awkward to see myself on TV in public.

But then again, it will not happen to me -_-

() _ () ()_ ()

Sometimes I go to work via those premium bus services. I love it 'coz I get to sit and sleep to work, the bus is hardly crowded, it's very cool and it takes only about 30 - 40 minutes to reach my office.

And the bus captain is also very friendly. On one certain day...

Bus Captain: (smiling) Good morning everybody! Good moring! And sorry for yesterday ah, so sorry...

I was also on the bus the previous day leh, but I really have no idea what happened on the previous day. Too premium service, too confusing...

monday in office

It's easy to get hungry in office, so sometimes I'll just buy a loaf of bread and eat in the office at my own seat. And share with my neighbour.

So today I bought a loaf of bread and brought to work. And at work...

Neighbour: *takes out the bread on the table and eat*
Me: Wah so fast!

I thought she automatically open my bread and eat (we always very automatic one...), but when i look into my bag

*gasp*
Me: I thought u opened my bread!
N: What? No i bought it!
Me: *took out my bread* We bought the same one!

Gardenia Banana and Walnut bread!

And my neighbour's birthday is just 6 days after mine. Maybe that explains our similar taste!

+++++++++++

Later in the day, I was telling my neighbour that Kylie Minogue is coming to SG for concert.

She dun believe me when I told her how much the most expensive tix were going for.

U make a guess?

S$550!!!

That's called the DIVA pricing...

Traning

Was on external training last thurs and fri and also this thurs and fri. As understood from my colleagues who went for it previously, it's good. (Where got training not good one??)

Colleague: Shiok right?
Me: Yeah! Lunch break 1.5 hrs, got 2 15-min breaks with snacks and tea, go home at 4.30, can wear jeans and casual! And the questions they ask, more or less we know already...

But... honeymoon period ending soon =(

=.=.=.

Having bouts of diarrhoea these few days. I wonder if it's due to those China food... But I checked all the food labels, appear to be safe... Or maybe it's just something I ate.

=.=.=.

Got a call from a client who was questioning our bill. I just should not have put that dubious item in the first place. At least client was not that nasty, but made me spent time on it... Sigh. Wonder if it will be resolved when I return to the office on Monday. *prays*

Client management. Not easy.

guitar?

I learnt how to play the keyboard, I also know some guitar, but if i have to compare, I think my guitar skills are better than keyboard.

I know both instruments, but am a master of none.

I wanted to learn the keyboard/piano before, coz I thought it's very romantic to do so, especially when playing for someone. But now, I somehow prefer the guitar more. Maybe it has to do with how portable it is. I can bring it with me everywhere I go, more convenient than a keyboard. I can play it unplugged, I can play it standing, siting ot walking around, and I realise there is so much depth in guitar playing.

Just some thoughts.

People go

With the peak over, a typhoon of white letters swept across my dept. A SM, 2 seniors, 1 admin staff (for other reasons).

And I was one of the last to know coz I was not in office for the recent few weeks.

Oh well.

The straits times special feature - transsexuals

I was quite surprised at today's The Straits Times' special feature on transsexuals.

The GLBT (stands for Gays, Lesbian, Bisexuals, Transgender) society has traditionally not been put in a good light by the local media. Sometimes I'll read a few comments or articles which are positive (which I deem that the media finds it necessary to maintain a balance) but largely, it's still mostly unbalanced.

The special feature in the papers talks briefly about why transsexuals want to go for the sex change op, the problems transsexuals face in our society and there are also a few interviews with some transsexuals. Most importantly, the article brings home the issue that transsexuals have always existed in our society, whether we like it or not, and that we should not discriminate them.

I do hope that the report will open the eyes of many people in the society who do not know much about transsexuals and simply assume that they have a problem. Although our society is termed as one of the more advanced societies in terms of tech and economic development, some areas are still lacking in progress. Because of the various laws and checks and unseen boundaries, there is still a degree of homophobia in our society today.

I think that transsexuals would face more problems more than gays, les and bis. The op will change their lives forever as it's not reversible. Doing the op means out-ting to everyone what they are feeling and threaten them from being thrown out by families and severing of ties with friends who do not understand them. Not like gays, les and bis who can choose to be closetted and to lead a second live at night. Also, there's the high cost of the operation and how society looks at them.

In fact, even gays, les and bis may not understand how a trans feels, what more about straight people... I myself have known more about trans through the report. Kudos to The Straits Times for it.

My home has been very slow in upgrading our cable to digital.

Now when everyone is going for HubStation, we only start to upgrade from analogue to digital. I was a bit embarrassed in the Starhub shop when other customers brought their digital set-up box to exchange for the HubStation, while I brought my old black analogue box to exchange for the digital set-up box.

One reason for delaying our upgrade is that my fanily members are already accustomed to using the old box. The digital one can prove to be a bit hard for them to use, and indeed, it's abit complicated...

Now, still in the stage of switching channels. And determining if the box is on or off.

Your result for The Perception Personality Image Test...

NBDC - The Illusionist

Nature, Background, Detail, and Color

You perceive the world with particular attention to nature. You focus on the hidden treasures of life (the background) and how that is affected by the details of life. You are also particularly drawn towards the colors around you. Because of the value you place on nature, you tend to find comfort in more subdued settings and find energy in solitude. You like to ponder ideas and imagine the many possibilities of your life without worrying about the details or specifics. You are highly focused on specific goals or tasks and find meaning in life by pursuing those goals. You are a down-to-earth person who enjoys going with the flow.

LASIK

Must take care of eyes more now... coz i just underwent LASIK!

Decided to go for it as my contact lens had just expired (2yrs) and I am supposed to be making a new pair. But recently, people around me have been going for LASIK and since I have been pondering about this for some time liao too, i thought, why not? So i asked PQ for her doc's contact and off i went for it...

Went for my pre-LASIK assessment on Monday, where i took a couple of tests to ascertain my power and to assess if I am suitable for LASIK. And yes, i was! Booked the surgery date in the same week 2 days later, so fast!

The actual surgery... Actually I wasn't that nervous on the day before the surgery, in fact i was more of excited when my colleagues asked me about it. But on the day itself, it certainly was abit scary... I was wondering if i would be so scared until I faint, then how?

Went into the surgery room and lied down. The doc taped my right eye and clamped it to prevent blinking and talked to me to calm me down. The only thing I should do, he said, is to focus on the blinking red light.

After a while, he applied some pressure, which i presume was some thing over the eyeball to allow him to cut the cornea. With it, my vision darkened totally (i thought i was fainting... haa) before the red light comes back on, but fuzzy and blurry now. And I could smell the laser or some burning smell, and the doctor went "25% complete, 50% complete and u are doing very well, 75%, 90% and done." And after some washing, my right eye was done!

And the same for my left eye! However, he had to apply the pressure thing over my eye twice as the first one does not seem to be the correct size. Also, for my left eye, the doctor put in a contact lens after the op to protect the cornea.

The whole operation was really fast, maybe 5 mins max for each eye? After the op, it just seems like a dream. There isn't really much pain (only pain i felt was when the pressure was applied on my left eye), but i did feel a bit uncomfortable though in the middle of the operation when i suddenly thought "OMG i am wide awake now and the doc is now cutting my cornea but i dun feel anything!" Haha...

After the op and today's post op review, the doc kept saying "Perfect!" when he looked at the fruit of his labour. Haha. My left eye is still red today after the op, which the doc explained was due to my over-nervousness during the op where i squirmed my eye. This might have caused some blood vessels to burst and perhaps the reason why he put in a contact lens to protect my left cornea. But it will be fine and the redness will go away in a few days time.

The redness is the only problem i am facing. Still, i have to put eyedrops every now and then as advised by the doc, and not only when i feel blurry (sign of dryness).

About 36 hours after the operation now... And I am feeling great! And seeing great too!

comex

This week... spend and spend!

1. Comex 2008

Went with CY and ZQ, where CY bought his samsung smart phone and ZQ bought a laptop too.
Me bought a LG laptop, which everyone asked, "LG? Got laptop?" "Strange brand to buy laptop ah..."

I also dunno why i bought LG... Haha... Need one which i can play Starcraft2 when it comes out next year. Better come out soon! Now got what good games ah... hmmm...

Then I went to the DBS lucky dip booth. The lucky dip goes like this: For every S$X spent, the customer will receive a coupon, which he will slot into the system, press a button and then the screen will show 3 cars racing. If his luck is good, his car will overtake the others and he will win a big prize (eg mp3 player, good earphones, sony bravia tv). Otherwise, he will just get a wirelss optical mouse.

The person in front of me had 2 coupons, the first coupon: mouse. The 2nd coupon, his car overtake the others and he got a big prize. Ok... Then the screen showed "SONY BRAVIA TV"! That was the ultimate big prize! Everyone went "wah! oooh!" And he walked off happily with a Sony Bravia TV (dunno what inch la).

The point is, if he had only 1 coupon, it could be me winning the tv!

So it's my turn, and i told the attendant, "He so lucky... Me confirm... *haiz*"
She: "No, no, You cannot be so sure."

The probability of one big prize after another is usually very slim mah, so I just press the button. And... I also got a big prize! Not TV, but at least a sony mp3 player. Beats a optical mouse anytime!

My laptop has been great so far, only thing is having trouble with wireless. hmmm.

Part 2... next post... need to rest my eyes... =)

post reservist

I'm back in the civilian life once again, reservist ended.

It had been a siong week, even the CO admitted that the exercise we had was one of the most siong exercises in SAF. It lasted for a week, and during the outfield, all of us experienced some forms of tempers, low-morale, weariness. Yet when I look back now, I get all sorts of mixed emotions.

Don't get me wrong, if given a choice, i believe none of us (including me) wanted to go through the outfield exercise. But honestly I do learn some valuable lessons from it. Like how to focus only on the positive thoughts when instructions change suddenly, not to flare up and be further demoralised when people around me start complaining (on how they have a choice and will defer next time round), communicate with people of different backgrounds and age etc.

I think the reservist had made me a more positive person. I hope so.

====

I went for my first wakeboarding session! It was a fun experience, esp the adrenaline rush when i managed to stand up and move along on the waves! Photos not in my cam, shall post up the photos and blog about it when i get them.

Wakeboarding is so much more fun than the cable-skiing imo! I have 2nd thoughts about going cable ski again, but i definitely will not mind going wakeboarding for a 2nd time, or a 3rd, or 4th...!

======

Oh... and I finally bought my tix to...

I can't wait to catch her! I missed her concert last year, so its great that she's coming again! Pity the most exp tix are sold out, otherwise i might get the most exp tix.

1 mth plus to a*mei concert!

======

Comex is coming next week. Pity its not in Expo coz i stay in the east.
Need to get a laptop, portable harddisk and perhaps a tv as well.

And maybe a digicam? =)

Precious weekend

What did i do over the weekend?

- Watched part of the olympics opening ceremony. And was waiting for the SG flag to come out... zzz...

- Slept. I thought a slept alot in the first week of my reservist le. Hmmmm.

- Drove in the evening to meet nbs gang. It was an adventure ride, as described by smint. Haha... my excuses were that it was dark and post-rain, and that it was my first time driving so far, and that it was my 2nd time driving out, and that i had a passenger, and that my first time using that car. Whatever, we had a great time hanging out. And of coz, saw the GF for the first time, u guys look good together! Must wish WH all the best =)

- Bought more army stuff. And food for outfield. I really think i spent a lot in this outfield.

- Checked my office email. Well... thanks to my collegaues for covering me... Wonder what will come next week from the clients...

- To book in later >_<

Such a whiny post... but really ah, how come my non-ATEC reservist is so siong one??

Sigh.

reservist week 1

I am out of camp for this weekend!

Honestly, this week has been quite a relaxing week. No work, not much stress, managed to catch up on lost sleep, even managed to go to the gym once, managed to go nights off once. Eh, sounds good??

Partly because there is gonna be a 8 DAY OUTFIELD next week! So this week has to be relaxing mah. (8 days outfield!! sigh!)

This is my 5th ICT and is my longest ICT so far.

I like:

- Location. Geez... the new Jurong Camp II is not at some ulu place in tuas or some nature reserve place, but next to civilisation. Right out from my window, I can see NTU, and to be even more specific, can see the words "Nanyang Business School"! Woah! And then memories of nbs days keep coming back... Oh, and almost no mosquitoes in the new camp!

- The new camp. It's really new. Spring mattress, clean toilets, big space, there's even a personal power supply for each bed!

- The people. The bond is still there. Yep. Eveeryone still look the same, and more people have gone lasik. My turn should come next!

I dislike:
- Some people. Ok a certain person whom i really shouldn't elaborate more coz he really... CMI...

- The 8 day outfield... Now i have to buy more things for the outfield to comply with the standard list. And the SAF now gives out this special solution to soak our clothes in, and there will be this aura or protective field to keep the mozzies away. But hor, the soultion stinks...

- More acne outbreak. Ouch.

Morale was also down for a day when mr t out-pro-ed all of a sudden on the 2nd day after being led away by the OC. It appears that none of us really know why, and the commanders seem quite secretive about it too, but also seems like most of them dun really know too. So there's still this worrying in our hearts for mr t. Can only pray he'll be fine...

Won't be booking out next weekend due to the 8-day outfield... haaaaiz!

Sunday, August 3, 2008

reservist...

Went out with hall/mj gang and sat in the new car! Woah! New car smell!
But i can't post the photos coz i left my memory card reader in office... Not that we took many photos, but I just cut my hair mah... haa.

Anyway it was great to meet up with u guys again... shall do so again sometime!

_____ _____ _____

Going reservist for the next 2 weeks plus!
No work, no irritating clients, no emails!
But got sun and rain, got outfield, got chiong sua...

People around me, especially the girls, always say, "Wah so good! Reservist! Get paid to do nothing!". Which is totally untrue!

Pre-reservist:

- Cut hair. Tell hairstylist "Going reservist" and he says "i get it".
- And i'm glad it ain't disastrous! (Hopefully it will gain favour in the RSM's eyes...)

- Go back office to clear backlog.
- I never knew my in-tray had so much stuff! Some to file, some to action, and of course, some to dump.

- Go beach road sew the new nametags.
- Since at beach road, might as well get some essentials...
- And since already at beach road, might as well get some eh, luxury items...

- Also need to go supermarket buy small sized shampoo, body foam and toiletries...
- Since at supermarket, might as well buy some leisure items e.g. magazines.

- Need to pack! Pack standard items first...
- Eh, no space to pack the other items...
- Where's my lock?? Where's my beret??
- Forgot to buy some things! *go downstairs*
- Now have to find more space to squeeze.

spend money, spend time >_<

And this is only the pre-reservist! And yeah, reservist is not all about sleep and relax! Must chiong one! ^^

《溏心风暴之家好月圆》

Another great show also just ended on SCV... 溏心风暴 !

So now, everyone in HK ( i presume) is awaiting 《溏心风暴之家好月圆》 which is gonna air soon!!

Think that the storyline is different, just that the same cast is in it, and with more bitching, more shouting, more wailing, more backstabbing, more evil!!

I think my TOIL will come in useful... maybe i should take a week off work and rent the DVD series and catch it!

你没想像中爱我

石欣卉 《一切完美》 插曲: 你没想像中爱我

Nice show on Ch U just ended. Love this song.
I didn't get to watch every episode, but only a few here and there. Yet each episode always touches me... the felicia chin episode was my most memorable one...
And i always love to hear this song at the end of the show. (Shi Xin Hui is real good... and she wrote the lyrics for this songs too!)

"If u can tolerate imperfection, everything else will be perfect."

that's how the best quote from the show goes, something like that...

<> _ <> _ <> _ <> _ <>

1. Am going for reservist for the first 2.5 weeks in Aug.

2 of my good friends will not be going for reservist this time for various reasons, it'll be more fun if they will be there since the reservist is gonna be so long >_<

2. I was supposed to attend a church wedding today, but i forgot!

Actually, it might be better. I always feel awkward whenever I attend my ex-cell members' weddings. The awkwardness starts from the beginning, when i meet my ex cell members, then we chat for a while. The usual no-long-no-see-how-have-u-been.

Then the ceremony starts. And yeah, there a man and a woman are together, as what 'should be' as what the church always proudly proclaims.

And then, photo-taking, and i'll feel strange sitting there coz i dun really belong to any categories (there's no ex-church members category). So i'll pop down to the refreshments. And try to talk to some ex-cell members again provided they are free.

Soon after, it's time for them to go for the wedding dinner and i'll head home, feeling some sort of post-wedding blues. But it's more of seeing my ex-cell members and wondering how we have weathered secondary and esp JC together back then, yet when i have left the church, we become mere acquaintances. Friendship seems to vanish between the thin line of God and the world.

I appreciate it when one tries to meet up with me regularly. Of course it always gets back to the topic of God, but at least she tries to do so. And it's even more ironic when I didn't consider her to be as close to me as the others since me and her were from different JCs.

But *oops*, it's her wedding that i missed today...

Monday...

Am still in the office now. Sigh. Because of 2 reasons:
1. Ultimate deadline of 31 July 2008. It's the ultimate deadline because almost everything has to be completed by this date.
2. Reservist from 4 August 2008. So for me, everything must be completed by 31 July 2008 anyway, else who's gonna do my work while i reservist?
But the line between "almost everything" and "everything" hardly makes a significant difference anyway.
Anyway, reservist coming! Siong!

<><> ^^<><>

Some misc pics from my HP taken from my workstation:

That was my dinner. Chicken foldover is the healthiest meal.
I mean, relatively speaking la...

That is my key.
I mean, that was my key...
My workstation cubicle key broke last week when I was trying to lock my cubicle.
How it happened? The key was bent, then there was a slight crack, now it broke.

Where's the other half of the key?
It's stuck inside the cubicle lock! LOL. I wonder if the admin officer will scold me or laugh...

(Oops i forgot to turn the image 180 degrees!)
This is a stress ball (or stress bun) that my intern gave me. Apparently it looks too real that
1. I thought is real
2. My neighbour thought is real
3. Others also thought is real
4. Manager thought it's real and ask me' "Why u leave ur bun there overnight?" (So dirty, the managers must be thinking?)
5. Administrator tell me "Dun leave ur bun on the table like that!"
6. I went to bluff N by wrapping a tissue around it and asked "U wan to eat?"
And she almost tore my 'bun' into half coz she really thought is real and she only wanted half of it.
<> <> <> <>
I called in Class 95 during CarTunes (2nd time!) and talked to Jean again. And let my neighbour dedicated a song to everyone else who was still working (around 8?).
So if u were still working at around 8 today, there, a song just went out to you! =)

Driving by myself

Took my bro's car for a spin today! And since the fuel's like 1/4, i refilled it, and i realised petrol is indeed very expensive O_O

Gosh got horned at a few times! It was still abit scary since

1. i just passed last week

2. i am driving alone. Well my bro is overseas and he did say i could drive if need be... (So i decide to do my aprt and refill to full tank without knowing full tank is SO expensive)

3. i went on the PIE. Ok this part quite fun la.

4. People kept cutting in... Coz i P-Plate?? Never mind, safety first.

5. I dunno how to park without poles. Geez. Have to find one lot without cars beside it, otherwise sure buang. And then i still have to move forward adjust, backward adjust, forward again. And i still dunno how to park outside now. The car that's parked at my hdb carpark now is just... the positiong can be more perfect. (But i shall not waste more petrol adjusting it...)

6. I went up parkway carpark where i have to keep turning. And turning. And turning... And when i come down, i have to keep turning, and turning, and turning again...

7. I dunno how to change my bro's stereo from CD to radio. Ok this just a technical problem...

Driving auto is shiok!

==================

Watched 赤壁 last week. I love it! Just brought me back as though I am in the 3 guo world. The 2.5hrs just flew by so quickly, now I am awaiting part 2!

Oh initially i didn't noe what's the english name...

Frd: U wan watch what movie?
Me: Hmmm... "Naked cliff"?
Frd: Eh what show??
Me: 赤壁 lor! The one with Tony Leung and Jin Cheng Wu (U mean u dint noe?? This big production??)
*no reply*

Then i realised later, the English name is "RED cliff".
*Oops*

i'm a qualified driver liao

15 July 2008: I got my driving license! Yay!!

I was really nervous even before I went for the test... in fact, i made so many mistakes during the warm-up. My car rolled backwards on the slope, my parking wasn't that straight, my braking was jerky, almost striked kerb on the road etc... The warm-up instructor was trying real hard not to scold me and laughing quite often to relax me...

Haha but praise God all went well during the actual test. Tester did not tick this and that along the way but only @ the end, quite nice tester. But of coz i still made some mistakes which made thought i failed especially at the end-of-test evaluation...

Instructor: U didn't check blind spot when parking...
Me: ok... (not too major...)
Instructor: Then u didn't turn off signal... didn't this, didn't that, engine stall = delay etc etc...
Me: ok... *Nods head*
Instructor: Like that can be dangerous... cause danger to others, then cause accident...
Me: ok... (Cause danger?? Die liao... cause danger got immediate fail a not??)
Instructor: *Tick here tick there, purposely flip the last page and din let me see whether he ticked pass or fail...*

Instructor: Ok here.. pass.

Me: *breathes* thank u!!!

And i passed with a not-bad score... accumulated 10 points! Haha!

In total, I attended about 30 lessons coz I was a bit kiasu and not really confident. I supposed those extra lessons helped!

Now the thing is... Will my bro let him drive his car? ^^

Leaving SG

Was tasked with organizing a farewell for ZH, who will be leaving SG soon for an overseas assignment, for about 3 months (if i recall correctly). Ok, 3 months like not so bad...

Then, one of my close army friend CK will be leaving SG soon for the US for 6 months. And he's flying in 2 weeks time! So will be organizing another farewell.

And a final bomb came. Another close army friend SW said his overseas assignment is now pretty confirmed and he should be leaving SG in Oct or so... for 1 year.

The whole world is leaving SG... I think I would be attending more farewells than weddings this year... =(

I also want to leave actually.

Accidents happen

Oops. I accidentally deleted my blog the other day. Coz, well, LJ has this function when one can delete his blog and recover it within 30 days, was wondering if BS has it too.

Apparently no.

It appears that I have to start (stuck) from scratch. And no, I didn't back up my blog template previously. And even if i did, my laptop crashed. So well.

So erm, remember to back up ur posts and template just in case one day, u feel like deleting ur blog!
